Ice cream shops in Trenčín

Trenčín makes nothing but artisan gelato, and makes it on the spot every day in small batches: real fruit, chocolate and pure nut pastes, with no powdered bases and no artificial flavourings. The range is wide and constantly rotating; the ones people come back for are salted pistachio made with Sicilian nuts, and poppy seed with plum.

The centre is covered by a shop just below Mierové Square and another on Legionárska, where the ice cream comes with speciality coffee from a local roastery, homemade desserts and prosecco. For the Juh housing estate there is no need to travel in — a branch with the same counter sits by the Južanka shopping centre. Vegan flavours, some on a rice milk base, and lactose-free options are routine here rather than an exception.
