What data we process

Your name, email, password (only as a hash), language and country. Content you create yourself: recipes, reviews of recipes and ice cream shops, favourites and ice cream shop suggestions.

Location

When you press “Near me” while searching for ice cream shops, your browser sends your approximate location solely to sort the results. We do not store it and it is not included in the page address.

Map

The map is only shown once you turn it on. At that point your browser loads the map tiles from OpenStreetMap servers, which will therefore see your IP address (policy: osmfoundation.org).

Who sees what

Anyone can see a public recipe or review, along with your name. Only you can see your private recipes, favourites and email. An administrator can see the list of accounts, ice cream shop suggestions and public content (and can hide anything inappropriate).

Why

To make the site work and, with your consent, for visitor statistics. We do not sell data, use it for advertising or share it with third parties other than our e-mail provider (Resend), our hosting and — with consent — Google Analytics.

How long

For as long as you have an account. Unconfirmed registrations are deleted after 7 days.

Your rights

You can delete your account and all its data under My account. You can also ask for access to your data, its correction or erasure by e-mail at peto@bam.sk. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Slovak Office for Personal Data Protection (in Czechia, the Office for Personal Data Protection, ÚOOÚ).

Analytics (Google Analytics)

Only with your consent from the bar at the top of the page. Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.) records which pages you visit, your language, device and browser type, and your approximate country or city (Google does not store your IP address). To tell visits apart it sets the cookies _ga and _ga_LWBT3MGM90, valid for 13 months. Google may also process the data in the USA (EU–US Data Privacy Framework). Advertising features are switched off. You can withdraw consent at any time with “Cookie settings” in the page footer — the analytics cookies are then deleted.

Cookies

One cookie is essential for signing in. Google Analytics cookies are used only with consent (see above). Your choice of theme, language, map display and cookie consent is stored only in your browser.
